This is a one-off project from a Florida-based aftermarket company.
Currently Lamborghini is working on a plug-in hybrid powertrain for the Urus, but we came across a very different kind of hybrid Urus. This one has no electrification and instead combines its twin-turbo V8 with a six-wheel layout.
This beast appeared briefly online over the past few weeks and a new short video on YouTube finally gives us a closer look at the project. It is a heavily modified Urus with three axles and six wheels. Perhaps the strangest part is that it has no open cargo bed at the rear like a truck, but a fully enclosed area with a rear hatch. The construction looks almost completely finished at this stage, except for a few visible touches behind the rear wheels which would likely be painted body color.
Mighty 6x6 trucks:
- Jeep 6x6 from Apocalypse Manufacturing gets a ghostly new face
- Apocalypse Dark Horse is a mean-looking Ford Bronco 6x6
But this is not just an extended Urus with six wheels. Many exterior components are exclusive to the SUV, including this brutal rear diffuser, the additional roof spoiler, and the widened fender flares. These wheels are not stock either.
The big question here – who built it? Credit goes to a company called South Florida Jeeps, which is responsible for the six-wheel giant. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, it is the same one that also produces six-wheel Wranglers and Broncos under its Apocalypse Manufacturing brand. We reached out to the aftermarket studio and got some spicy details.
The most important thing everyone is asking is whether those two additional rear wheels are actually motorized. Apocalypse Manufacturing confirmed to us that the second and third axles work in tandem, making the Urus an even more capable machine on and off the road. Any engine modifications to talk about? The company told us that no changes were made as the standard 4.0-liter mill is powerful enough with its 641 horsepower.
