WhenAston Martinintroduced theDBS 770 Ultimatein January, it also announced a convertible version, but only showed the coupe. The Gaydon-based luxury brand is now filling in the blanks by revealing the stunningVolante. It is the rarer of the two body styles, as only 199 will be built, while the fixed-roof model will receive 300 examples.

Rarely do we get to say this about a new car, but there is no such thing as a bad angle on this stunning vehicle. Although appearance is subjective, no one can deny that this is themost powerful road carAston Martinever made. Indeed, it uses an upgraded 5.2-liter V12 with 770 horsepower (hence the name), which produces 759 horsepower. The twin-turbo beast provides a massive 900 Nm of torque from just 1800 rpm for seamless driving.

Although sold out, AM went through the trouble of releasing a configurator with multiple colors to choose from for both the exterior and the interior. Special-edition cars rarely can be configured, but this one has options ranging from chromed or black badges to a carbon fiber package.

All coupes and convertibles ride on specially crafted 21-inch wheels with a complex multi-spoke design derived from the alloys fitted to the Valkyrie and the unique Victor. The wheels – whose cleaning looks like a real pain – are offered in satin silver or satin black, with the latter also available with a diamond-turned finish.

Production has already begun and first deliveries to customers are scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.
