Project Thunderball by Wiesmann debuted nearly a year ago. The electric roadster has not yet entered production, but the company is teasing the ordering options available to customers who want to personalize their vehicles. Wiesmann built three design concepts to showcase the "limitless" styling possibilities.
The boldest concept draws inspiration from the roaring 20s and the imagined tastes of literary icon Jay Gatsby.
Project Thunderball is a rear-wheel-drive, two-seat electric car with two electric motors in a rear-mounted mid position. The company is targeting 680 horsepower and 811 Nm of torque from the setup. This would be enough to allow the car to sprint to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. The electric car will have a state-of-the-art 800-volt, 92-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.
It is still unclear when Project Thunderball will enter production. When it goes on sale, it will have a starting price of 300,000 euros.
