Our Mercedes-AMG E53 combi from 2026. was equipped with the optional package MBUX Superscreen, a technological enhancement that turns the dashboard into a true command centre. In addition to the standard 14.4-inch central infotainment display and 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, Superscreen adds a special screen on the passenger side, visually expanding the cabin.

The additional display is not just for show. It provides the front passenger with their own centre for navigation, media and other infotainment functions, which helps reduce driver distraction, while also making the cabin look even more modern and premium. Visually, it changes the entire character of the interior - less traditional luxury car, more high-end digital salon - especially at night, when the screens light up and ambient lighting frames the dashboard.

The leather seats in the colour Neva Grey and Black in our test vehicle are part of an upgrade for $2990 and immediately improve the view and feel in the cabin. The two-tone colour scheme adds contrast and visual depth, breaking up the otherwise dark interior and highlighting the premium nature of the combi.

In addition to aesthetics, the leather upholstery itself feels suitably elastic and luxurious, with dense stitching and a soft touch, reinforcing the luxurious positioning of E53. The lighter panels in the colour Neva Grey brighten the cabin, while the black sections help ground the design, achieving a balance between elegance and the more sporty character of AMGbetween elegance and the more sporty character of AMG.
