A convoy of spectacular cars departed from the yacht port
With a powerful roar of engines and an adrenaline rush, the 12th edition of the Premium rally Sofia-Sveti Vlas started on June 21. Traditionally, the starting point is Marina Dinevi in the Sveti Vlas resort, which coincided with the first day of the astronomical summer. The yacht port became a stage for an epic clash, as spectators had the opportunity to see 45 exotic cars, including rare models such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Ferrari 812 Superfast.
Exactly at 13:01, under the applause of dozens of fans, tourists and guests, the first car set off on the six-day adventure. The route included Sveti Vlas, Varna, Bucharest, the MotorPark track in Romania, Sibiu, Transfagarasan and Transalpina.
Exceptional cars and famous participants
Unique specimens lined up at the starting line, such as Rolls Royce, top models of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Lamborghini, Maserati and many Porsche 992 Turbo S. This year the rally also attracted two well-known women: pop diva Maria, who will compete with the Ferrari 812 Superfast, and the winner of Miss Bulgaria 2023, Elisabet Kravitz, who will drive a Mercedes-Benz G-Class G63.
Competitive program and attractions
After the start from Sveti Vlas, the participants will compete in a drag race, collecting their first points for the final ranking. On June 21 at noon in front of the Happy Bar & Grill restaurant at the Varna Sea Station, residents and guests of the city will be able to enjoy the spectacle of dozens of powerful cars.
In the early afternoon, the rally continues to Bucharest, with a planned route for precision driving tests in the Beloslav Municipality. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their driving skills at the MotorPark track in Romania.
On June 23 at noon, the participants will gather in the heart of Bucharest in front of the InterContinental Athenee Palace, where the organizers promise the appearance of world-famous figures.
The final stop and the charitable cause
The final stop of the rally is the city of Sibiu, where the participants will pass through the famous mountain passes Transfagarasan and Transalpina. For the first time in history, the Transfagarasan pass will be closed only for the participants in the rally.
This year the rally supports the charitable cause of 22-year-old Georgi Marinov from Plovdiv, who, after a spinal cord injury, is confined to a wheelchair. The funds from the campaign “Support Georgi for Success” will help with his operation in Thailand, which gives an 85% chance of full recovery.
